My name is Chris Rinker. I am a minister and a follower of Christ, though I know that doesn’t mean much these days. To me, it means that I have observed the path that Jesus walked and the path he has set before me, and I have chosen to walk it. In all my endeavors, I try to be the best I can be, and I have learned that above all else that involves listening. Therefore, I am deeply committed to listening to the perspectives of others; if I at any point misrepresent those perspectives, please let me know. Like any human being, I am flawed; I make mistakes. But I will continue to do my best, and for that I will always need the help and input of others.
The goal of this blog is to be unconditional – to love others without condition, to accept others for who they are without condition, and to show others grace without condition. You are welcome here as long as you are human. I ask only that the discussion be open and loving, and I will try to be the same in my posts. I do not shy away from the truth as I see it, but I am always open to hearing your truth, if you will share it respectfully.
In these pages, you will find sermons, theological musings, commentary on current events, and so forth, and I will come to them from my own Christian perspective. However, as Christianity is as varied as the considerable amount of people who claim it for their religious heritage, please do not expect that you will know what a “Christian perspective” might look like, nor that your “Christian perspective” is more correct than my own. As I said before, I am more than willing to listen, if you are willing to speak openly and lovingly.
Thank you for taking the time to visit, and the time to read. I am deeply humbled that you are here.
Peace and Grace,
